Registered Psychologist
Stacey works from a client centred approach, under the assumption that the client is the expert in their own journey. Overarching her work is a focus on attachment styles, and the impact that these can have on our functioning and interpersonal relationships. She uses aspects of cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based approaches, dependent on the client’s needs.
Her current passion is in the area of somatic therapy, and she is undergoing training in the Hakomi method this year. Further, she has a keen interest in the internal family systems model, as well as narrative and creative therapies and is looking to add knowledge from these areas into her skill base in the near future.
Stacey has ten years experience working in the public system with adults with a broad range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, personality vulnerabilities and psychosis.
